Air Rights Architecture: Utilizing Urban Voids to Inject Social Dimension within the Current Urban Densification Setting

Urban densification can often lead to architectural neglect of the social dimension of a city, with a focus purely on economic development. This can result in an increase in buildings and infrastructure at the expense of public spaces, green areas, and community facilities.
The displacement of residents and neighborhoods can negatively impact the social fabric of a community. The rush for economic growth led to the development of buildings and infrastructure that are aesthetically unappealing and fail to consider the cultural heritage and identity of the local community—creating a division leading to social fragmentation and a lack of community cohesion.
High-rise development lacks this multiplicity of interactive opportunities on the way to a shared space and is the missing link in society because they isolate individuals from others and create a sense of disconnection and alienation.
Therefore, there is a need for a non-conventional approach to advance the urban densification process at the city scale in order to regulate it better.
What if, new additional space emerges from Air Right Architecture intervened to inject social dimension in the current urban densification setting?
