New safe place intervention for Women and Children Domestic Violence Survivors

To be seen is to be heard and acknowledged. With that, we want to ensure our women and children suffering from domestic violence know /hat we see them and that there is a safe place for them. As we move forward, awareness is important. What better way to shout, "I am taking up space!" More than a visible, proud and protective safe haven for our women. "Taking up space" is when someone takes up space, they assert their presence and confidence, honing their voice and protecting themselves from intrusions from others.
No more hiding, no more shame.
This is where The L.I.G.H.T. House intervenes by being the visible safe place. The pull between visibility and security is similar to like a lighthouse. Even through the roughest storms and waves, it remains a beacon of hope raising above. With aims to reach, rebuilding and restore, The L.I.G.H.T. House is a place where women and children domestic violence victims are the priority. It has a top-down approach with programmes to ensure the safety and socioeconomic sustainability of the survivors as well as programmes that ensure community engagement and awareness on domestic violence.
Liberation, Inspiration, Growth, Hope & Transformation for our women and children.
